Dave is a pragmatic problem solver who specializes in maximizing growth and execution in people-intensive businesses. He has worked with some of the world’s leading firms to identify growth opportunities, align and deploy their people to deliver and evolve toward the best possible version of themselves. He has over 30 years of experience in strategy, organization, role definition, talent planning and the like.
Over the course of his career, Dave worked at Sibson Consulting, serving clients, managing two offices, leading their professional services practice, and serving as chief operating officer. Additionally, he was Global Head of Human Resources at Russell Reynolds Associates, where he was instrumental in improving RRA’s partnership model and standards, solidifying worldwide performance management, training, client feedback and upward feedback programs.
Dave is the author of Leading Firms: How Great Professional Service Firms Succeed & How Your Firm Can Too as well as the recently released Firm Believer: Lessons from Advising Some of the World’s Best Professional Services Firms. He writes and speaks frequently on management issues within professional service firms.
Dave is the chair of the Governing Board of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists. The Bulletin is the keeper of the iconic Doomsday Clock. They equip the public, policymakers, and scientists with the information needed to demand, recognize, and support public policies that reduce man-made existential threats such as nuclear war, climate change, and disruptive technologies.
