Axiom Consulting Partners (“Axiom”) announced the hire of Lisa Thompson as a partner in the firm. Thompson is a nationally recognized expert in profitable organic growth. She brings to the team more than 25 years of experience counseling clients on growing profitability through effective pricing, marketing and sales and negotiation strategies.

With experience spanning multiple industries—including manufacturing, software/SaaS, chemicals, nonprofit organizations, higher education and B2B service providers—Thompson is well-positioned to advise clients ranging from Fortune 100 companies to startups and everything in between. Her partnerships with clients have generated billions of dollars in profitable growth.

Thompson founded Sturbridge Growth Partners, a virtual management consultancy focused on profitable growth, in 2017 and served as the firm’s CEO until a 2021 merger with Axiom. Prior to founding Sturbridge, Thompson served as a partner at Deloitte Consulting, LLC. She was a senior partner and board member with Monitor Group, a multinational strategy consulting practice acquired by Deloitte in 2013. Previously, Thompson was a Vice President & Co-Managing Director at Strategic Pricing Group (“SPG”), establishing the firm’s Chicago office and leading the Industrial & Process Manufacturing Practice until the firm was sold to Monitor Group in 2005.

In addition to her previous corporate and nonprofit board experience, Thompson currently serves on two corporate boards: Consigli Construction (one of the largest 100 engineering firms in the U.S.) and Twin Valley Management (providing broadband, managed IT services, technology consulting, professional services and data center solutions for both residential and business customers.

Thompson has an MBA from Babson College and a BA from Regis College. Her work has appeared in esteemed industry publications—including The Medical Industry Information Report and The Journal of the Professional Pricing Society—and she has been invited to teach at a number of prestigious institutions, including the University of Chicago Center for Executive Education, Institute for International Research and the Professional Pricing Society.
