Dimitar is an economist specializing in empirical analyses as well as a seasoned consultant, analytics leader, and author. His work is centered around highly complex problems that involve using Big Data and advanced analyticsto implement business strategies. During his career, he has collaborated with executive teams in the finance, insurance, energy, health care, consumer packaged goods, and retail industries.

Dimitar is the Founder and Managing Director at Straight Forward Concepts and Co-founder and Chief Data Scientist at Tradecraft Analytics. He has managed numerous analytic engagements with Fortune 500 companies and previously led IP development at the Economic Center of Excellence of The Cambridge Group. Dimitar leads teams that apply modern data science techniques like machine learning, data visualization, and BI reporting to develop and implement strategies for clients in a broad spectrum of industries.

Dimitar speaks at conferences covering state-of-the-art techniques in data mining and consumer research. His research is published in a book as well as business and academic journals. He holds a Ph.D. with summa cum laude honors from Northwestern University. During his time there, he was elected Phi Beta Kappa.
