01 – BUSINESS ISSUE
Building the Organizational Capacity to Deliver an Ambitious Growth Strategy
The company had established a five-year strategy to more than double revenue to $1.5 billion. Having grown primarily through acquisitions, its manufacturing facilities operated largely independently, with inconsistent processes, systems, and talent practices. Leadership and operational challenges further limited the company’s ability to scale production and respond effectively to fluctuations in customer demand.
01
Independent manufacturing sites operated with fragmented systems, processes, and talent management practices.
02
Gaps in manufacturing capabilities and operational excellence constrained production efficiency and scalability.
03
Leadership capabilities and organizational structures were not fully aligned with the company’s growth ambitions.
04
The organization needed greater coordination across innovation, commercial activities, and manufacturing operations.
02 – OUR APPROACH
Aligning Organization Design, Leadership, and Workforce Capabilities with Growth
Lotis Blue partnered with the CEO and executive leadership team to design an organization capable of supporting the company’s $1.5 billion growth ambition. We began with a manufacturing capability assessment across U.S. facilities, identifying gaps in quality processes, operational excellence, and talent that could constrain future capacity and performance.
We also assessed the top two levels of leadership using objective, research-based methods to evaluate current capabilities and future potential. These findings informed an integrated organization design and operating model that clarified accountability, strengthened cross-functional coordination, and positioned the business to accelerate innovation and operational performance.
Building on this work, we:
- Developed an integrated organization design to strengthen innovation, customer responsiveness, and manufacturing performance.
- Defined operating model roles, accountabilities, and decision rights to improve coordination and execution across teams.
- Conducted workforce composition analyses to determine the number, type, and capabilities of talent required for future growth.
- Identified critical leadership and organizational capability gaps affecting operational performance and scalability.
- Created a phased implementation roadmap to prioritize talent investments and strengthen workforce attraction, development, and management.
